FAQ

What’s the deal with gold-fill jewelry?

Gold-fill is a pretty cost-effective way to get the look of solid gold without the price tag. It’s made of a base metal (usually brass) with a thick plating of karat gold. I use 14k yellow gold-fill materials and 14k yellow gold solder.

Gold-fill vs. gold-plate, who wins?

Since gold-fill has a thicker plating than gold-plate, it’ll wear better and last longer. The more gold, the better!

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, I’m only shipping orders within the United States with USPS. Most packages are sent in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Bubble Mailer – I’ll pack your order super carefully so it gets to you safe and sound.

How long will it take to receive my order?

I’m a one woman show, but I try to process and ship orders within 10 business days. I’ll keep in touch with you to let you know the status of your order along the way if there are delays. If you need something by a certain date, please let me know and I’d be happy to accommodate you.

How do I take care of my jewelry?

A good rule of thumb is to keep your jewelry in a cool, dry place. Oxidation is very real and may keep your pieces from looking their best. To combat any discoloration on the metal (which is very natural and can even be accelerated by your own oils and ph levels), just use a light polishing cloth when needed. I’ll even include one with your order! ♥

Do you do commissions?

In general, YES! I love to work with people and make things that are unique and only for them. Contact me and let’s make something super special.

Why are the products in your shop different from your work page?

The work on my main page and on my work page is gallery work. The pieces are much more involved to design and create, and are all one of a kind. They aren’t listed on my shop, but I’m willing to make an iteration/new version of the designs for you – contact me if you’re interested in something specific!

How do I measure my ring size?

This is a pretty widely used method for purchasing rings online:

Get a piece of string or thin strip of paper and wrap it around the finger on which you’d like to wear your ring. Make sure you can slide the string/paper over your knuckle! Mark where the end meets, and measure the string or paper in inches or millimeters. Then refer to the following chart to determine your US Ring Size!

Remember, your finger size will fluctuate depending on your temperature, hormones, etc. – so I’d recommend measuring a few times just to be sure your ring will fit well.
